Self-image is what someone thinks of themselves. This may include things like physical appearance as well as ideas of one’s abilities.

POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE SELF-IMAGE

It is unfair to compare ourselves to the images that are portrayed by media and it is unrealistic to expect ourselves to look like a supermodel or an athlete with a six-pack. Someone who is obsessed with this type of thinking may create a negative self-image or develop low self-esteem which can lead to more problems. Check out the websites below and complete the worksheet in your work package titled "Self-Image".
